Last Days in Athens

Go-Date, Day 10

Lesson Learned: Everest shops are everywhere. They would be the equivalent of Duncan Donuts, but with better food, better coffee, and great prices. Look them up for a cheap breakfast and lunch.

Regrets: None really. Its been a great week. We need to trim back on dining expenses, but it should be cheaper outside of Athens.

Our last days in Athens (for this go around) we hit the following archeological sites:

• Roman Agora
• Hadrian’s Arch
• Temple of Olympian Zeus
• War Museum
• Acropolis Museum
• Hadrian’s Library
• Ancient Agora
•  Keramikis
• Aristotle’s Lyceum (Peripatetic School)

Not everything to see, by any means, but a good start, especially since we’ll be back in 3 weeks to meet up with Katie and Sean.

The weather has been amazing. Lows in the mid 50’s. It’s been about 17 degrees at home. We only wore windbreakers.

There are ancient sites on every corner in the Plaka and Monistriaki neighborhoods.

Last day in Athens. We’ll be off in the morning in a rental car. Driving in Greece may be a challenge.
