Street Scenes and Glimpses of Croatia

No major events occurred as we wrapped up our two months in Croatia.

We had not planned on coming to Croatia when we left Alexandria on January 23rd. Now it’s given us some of our best memories.

So what have we done this month? Well, let’s see. First, we did
Zagreb,
• Varaždin,
• we met Mary K. and Nic,
• went to Samobor,
• and then saw Eddie Izzard.

We headed south to see what I’ve heard is one of the best National Parks in the world. Then we made our way up to the Istrian Peninsula for a couple weeks. And then finally started working our way down the coast towards the Dalmatian Coast.
Plitvice Lakes National Park
• Porec’
• Ravinj
• Pula
• Met up with Mary K. & Nic
• Island of Krk
• Wine festival in Gračišće
• Palencia National Park

From there we went on a Castle rampage finding one to see almost every day. Keeping on a southward track.
Split
• Salona
• Trogir
• Omis
• Krka National Park
• Klis
• Kastilac

Finally, we made it down to the end of Croatia, with a short passage through Bosnia & Herzegovina, and then back tracked up to Istria and Zagreb. What a glorious way to spend 60 days.

Thank you Croatia. Now we are off to Paris, France.
